Jefferson Miller

Academy Award winner Jefferson Miller has worked in film as a director and cinematographer for over 25 years. In 2003, the film “Twin Towers”, with Miller as a director of photography, won an Oscar for best short documentary.

From television features and feature documentaries to commercials and music videos, his camera and directing skills have been showcased at such venues as the Sundance, Margaret Mead, Aspen and Woodstock film festivals.

Miller recently directed and shot commercials for Turtle Beach Systems, Max Studio, Jessica Alba’s Honest Company, Hyundai and Smart Car as well as projects for National Geographic, PBS Frontline, American Masters, the BBC, History Channel, Discovery Channel and the Smithsonian.

In addition, he has also filmed some of America’s most influential architects and highlighted their renowned projects. Featured interviews have included Frank Gehry, Thom Mayne, Richard Meier and Robert A.M. Stern.

Miller’s camera work has taken him throughout the United States and much of the world, including the Caribbean, the highlands of South America, the jungles of Myanmar and the interiors of China, Korea, Japan and greater Europe.

Established in 2014, Miller’s new company StoryLab, Inc. (storylabprojects.com) now offers its services to exclusive clients who desire the finest in personal biographical documentary film production.
